You’ll want to do some research for where you live to see what types of flowers grow best in your area. This will make it much easier to decide which type of flowers will be easiest to maintain and will thrive in your environment.
This can definitely be a more high-maintenance type of garden to manage. Finding the right dirt and fertilizer is essential for growing fruit, and you will have to find a pesticide that won’t harm whoever is eating the fruit. Additionally, finding the right soil is very important for the plants’ growth. Then lastly another thing to be aware of is that the sweetness of the fruits can attract more insects.
These can be a bit more work than a flower garden (though not necessarily as much as a fruit garden). Luckily though, no matter the season, there is likely to be a vegetable that you can plant so that you can have great veggies from your garden all year long. Always plant your vegetables keeping in mind that you may want to plant more later so that it helps you plan out how to arrange them.
Some great spring vegetables are radishes, peas, kale, lettuce and more. For summer some things you can plant are squash, peppers, tomatoes, beets, corn, and cucumbers. You can also grow some veggies in cold weather such as cauliflower, beets, Brussels sprouts, rocket arugula, and cabbage.
The best thing you can do is do some research for your area and give considerations to how much space you have. That will help you determine what type of garden to grow. If you have lots of space and want to put the work into it, it’s always great to have a mixture of fruits, veggies and flowers!
